The Vice President, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that Ghana, at the moment, is a society where heavy corruption and indiscipline prevails.
According to him, the economy of the country cannot develop if such things continue to occur.
Speaking at the 20th Anniversary of Ghana Club 100 in Accra, the Vice President called for an end to the corruption and indiscipline.
“Before you can build an economy that is going to be transformational, policies that are going to be transformational that can take care of the problems that are in the informal sector of the economy, corruption and indiscipline must not be overlooked”, he said.
Dr. Bawumia added that “The society is indiscipline because our economy is informal and there are no significant consequences for bad actions. We have a society where corruption prevails, you have lawlessness, you have tax-dodging society, you have an unbanked society, you have a loan-repayment dodging society, age-cheating society, and identy fraud. These ills must be stopped”.
