The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, has issued a stern warning to the National Democratic Congress that he will prove and show them that he controls Ashanti Region.
According to him, it will be very unfortunate for him to sit down and allow the National Democratic Congress to misbehave in Ashanti Region which is the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party.
Speaking to Omanhene Kwabena Asante On Asempa FM, the outspoken chairman said that John Mahama has nothing new to offer Ghanaians after the nation was plunged into darkness under his tenure.
“President Akufo Addo has done so well for the people of Ghana. Just take a look at the many roads he has constructed and is still constructing them, ably supported by Dr. Bawumia and I believe that the Accra-Kumasi would be completed by the end of his tenure”, he emphasized.
Chairman Wontumi further added that “Former President John Mahama is only returning to make things worse because he doesn’t have good intentions for Ghana. Let them try anything funny here in Ashanti Region and they will smell pepper. Breaking the 8 is highly possible”.
